Okay, so I finally got the point and registered Ranchero's excellent NetNewsWire RSS reader for the Mac, having finally discovered how useful RSS can be over the last couple of weeks.
It's something I'd played with before a few times but hadn't really fully grokked, but for some reason when I discovered that I could use it not only as an RSS feed reader (a function which the forthcoming OmniWeb 5 will probably take over for many people - if you have a Mac, do yourself a favour and check out the public beta as it is a thing of great beauty) but also as a fairly nifty lightweight editor for posting things, like, right here.
That's kind of cool, I have to say. Yes, I know there are other RSS readers and other weblog editors out there, but of the ones I've played with so far, this one's by far the best.
And yes, that's the full point of this posting. I just wanted to say "Look! I'm posting from NetNewsWire right now, baby!".
